I meet clients with warmth, compassion, and curiosity, helping them break free from patterns that no longer serve them. My collaborative and client-centered approach recognizes each individual's unique context, allowing me to tailor treatment to their specific needs.
With experience in assisting clients through depression, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse, and eating disorders, I draw upon their strengths and incorporate mindfulness and somatic awareness techniques. Grounded in psychodynamic and attachment theories, I support clients in exploring how past experiences influence the present and embark on a journey to reclaim a sense of inherent wholeness.
During my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University, I initiated my career in mental health at a residential facility addressing substance abuse and concurrent mental health disorders. I led group sessions and assisted clients in building distress tolerance skills, observing significant changes during early recovery. I went on to hone my skills as a psychotherapist at a Los Angeles community mental health clinic, with comprehensive training in psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapies. In addition to offering long-term therapy, I engaged in a crisis intervention program, concentrating on managing suicidality and crisis intervention.
My personal and professional experiences have shown me that humans can achieve significant healing through meaningful therapeutic connections. Pursuing treatment is a courageous step. I am dedicated to respecting that courage by jointly creating a secure environment that fosters understanding, self-kindness, and an increased sense of comfort during life's difficulties
