Elaine is a compassionate and dedicated therapist specializing in treating adolescents with eating disorders. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business and psychology from Marymount California University and a master’s degree in clinical psychology from Antioch University. Elaine’s academic background provides a solid foundation for her therapeutic practice, while her personal experience with an eating disorder gives her a unique and empathetic perspective on the challenges her clients face.
Since entering the field in 2019, Elaine has been committed to helping young people navigate their recovery journeys with understanding and care. Her approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. Passionate about the healing process, she is working towards becoming a certified eating disorder specialist (CEDS). Elaine is also trained in Brainspotting and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in addition in utilizing psychodynamic-infused approaches in her practice. Elaine believes in creating a safe and supportive environment where her clients can explore their emotions and develop healthy coping mechanisms. She brings a calmness to her clients, while being able to challenge them towards their recovery.
In her role as Clinical Manager, she aims to foster a supportive and innovative environment for both clients and staff, emphasizing the importance of raising awareness, reducing stigma, and empowering both clients and fellow practitioners with the tools necessary for lasting recovery.
